AER-FLO’s Tough Guy® Cranberry Containment Boom is a lightweight floating boom designed to corral and concentrate floating cranberries during wet harvesting. The boom is deployed around a section of the cranberry bog and can be pulled or maneuvered through the water to gather the berries in a concentrated area for collection. Its low-profile design, with approximately 4 inches of freeboard, keeps the boom lightweight and easy to handle while effectively containing floating cranberries.

The Cranberry Containment Boom is constructed from durable 22-oz. PVC-coated polyester fabric and features polyethylene foam flotation and a galvanized steel ballast chain along the bottom. The reinforced top edge provides additional strength, while the ballast chain helps keep the boom properly positioned in the water. Each section features ASTM Z-profile universal end connectors, allowing multiple sections to be connected quickly and securely to create longer runs for larger harvesting areas.

It is important to note that not all cranberry booms are designed for the same harvesting application. Some cranberry harvesting operations use specialized collector or sweeping booms designed to funnel berries directly toward conveyors, pumps, elevators, or other collection equipment. AER-FLO’s Cranberry Containment Boom is designed specifically as a corral-or containment-style boom for gathering and concentrating floating cranberries. If your harvesting operation currently uses a different style of cranberry boom, the AER-FLO boom may have a different configuration and method of use.
